Kinsey met Hunter at a party at the beginning of the summer, and it was a whirlwind. She thought romance wasn't for her, but she was very wrong.

But real life turns out to be more complicated than a summer romance.

Dating Hunter over the summer was fun. But back at school, it's a lot more complicated. Her oldest friend is back from a summer trip and seems to be strangely jealous of how Kinsey's changed. Her relationship with her mom is only going downhill after her mom's marriage to her fitness-obsessed stepfather. Cracks start to appear in her relationships, and she doesn't know how to fix them.

With her friends and Hunter by her side, Kinsey must figure out how to be herself and learn to set boundaries.
